Amanda is originally from Eugene, Oregon. After twenty years in Northwest Portland, she returned to Eugene in 2023 and is enjoying building her practice again in her hometown while continuing frequent visits back to Portland.
Amanda uses she/her/hers pronouns.
Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts in History with Honors from the Robert D. Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon, where she graduated cum laude. She also holds a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law, where she likewise graduated cum laude.
After returning to Oregon and being admitted to the Oregon State Bar, Amanda opened a law practice in Portland and assisted clients with estate planning, probate, guardianships, business formation, and family law matters. She later spent many years as a full-time caregiver to her children while also maintaining active pro bono work.
She reopened her private practice in 2019 to focus on estate planning and administration services, with the goal of providing professional, compassionate representation for families planning ahead or navigating the death of a loved one.
Amanda and her husband have four children and enjoy spending time with them. She especially enjoys travel, history, photography, reading, and community involvement.
Community involvement has been a consistent priority for Amanda. She is a frequent volunteer at Senior Law Services at Campbell Senior Center, providing pro bono and reduced fee legal services to qualifying seniors in the Eugene area. Amanda is also a Board Member of Pegasus Playhouse helping to bring community theater to youth in the Eugene area. Amanda has also recently participated in name and gender marker change clinics with other local attorneys and Transponder. She is a frequent volunteer at local 4j schools.
Amanda has a long history of frequent community involvement in Beaverton School District, teaching American History at a homeschool co-op, and volunteering at Senior Law Project in Portland, and St. Andrew Legal Clinic in Washington County.
